Save the Date: YourStyle’s Intergenerational Planning Event
There are some financial conversations that are simply better when the whole family is part of them.
Over the years, we’ve worked with clients through many different stages of life — building careers and families, buying homes, preparing for retirement, enjoying retirement, helping children and grandchildren, and eventually thinking about what they want to leave behind.
What we’ve learned is that these stages aren’t really separate.
One generation’s financial decisions often affect the next.
That’s why the YourStyle Financial team is very excited to invite our clients, their families, friends and guests to a special Intergenerational Planning Event this October.

We Want All Generations in the Room
This is the part that’s especially important to me.
We don’t want you to come alone.
Bring your kids. Bring your adult grandchildren. Bring someone who is just beginning to think seriously about their finances. Bring someone who is approaching retirement. Bring someone who has questions and isn’t quite sure where to start.
You don’t have to be an existing YourStyle client to attend.
Our goal is to get different generations talking to each other about money, planning and the future.
Why?
Because financial planning looks very different depending on where you are in life.
Someone in their 20s or 30s may be thinking about buying their first home, managing debt, starting a family or beginning to invest.
A generation later, the questions may be about maximizing retirement savings, helping children financially or determining when work can become optional.
Later in life, the conversation can shift again to retirement income, preserving wealth, gifting and estate planning.
Different stages. Different questions.
But they’re often connected.
What to Expect
We’ve planned an informative and relaxed afternoon designed to make financial planning easier to understand and easier to talk about.
The event will include three presentations, followed by opportunities for questions and discussion.
We’ll also enjoy lunch together and leave plenty of time to connect.
This isn’t about sitting through hours of financial jargon.
It’s about having useful conversations that can help you and the people you care about better understand the decisions ahead.
Why Intergenerational Financial Planning Matters
Families don’t always talk openly about money.
Parents may not want their children worrying about their finances. Adult children may feel uncomfortable asking their parents about retirement or estate plans. Younger family members may be trying to figure everything out on their own.
Unfortunately, avoiding those conversations doesn’t make the decisions disappear.
Good intergenerational financial planning can help families talk about things such as saving and investing, home ownership, retirement planning, helping children and grandchildren, education funding, wealth transfer and estate considerations.
It doesn’t mean everyone needs to know every detail of everyone else’s finances.
It means creating enough understanding that families can make informed decisions and avoid unnecessary surprises.
Financial Planning Is About More Than One Generation
At YourStyle Financial, we’ve always believed financial planning should start with a simple question:
What’s important to you?
Very often, the answer includes other people.
Your spouse.
Your children.
Your grandchildren.
Your family.
That’s why we’re looking forward to bringing those generations together on October 27.

And remember — bring the next generation with you.
I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces, meeting some new ones, and starting conversations that I hope continue long after the afternoon is over.
Live for today. Plan for tomorrow.
